Our team is growing …

We are delighted to announce the appointment of our new Project Leader Aled.

Aled will lead the development of Transition to Trade, our key programme which aims to provide an insight into Trade for young people.

Aled first gained an interest in working with young people as a volunteer at a local youth work charity, where he gained an insight into the issues facing young people today. This led him to employment within a national youth charity, where he developed both his youth work and project management skills, developing strong working relationships with key stakeholders.

Alongside this, Aled’s previous experience included working with Faith in Community Dundee, he worked to support a diverse range of local community groups and charities, by providing advice and information, as well as working in partnership to deliver projects. This role gave Aled the opportunity to undertake extensive training covering a broad range of subject areas, including project management and mental health.

When Aled is not at work you will either find him at a skatepark or serenading his cat with his guitar.

Supporting Communities

ACD wouldn’t thrive without the communities that we serve.

We are delighted to announce the appointment of John Alexander SNR, who will lead the food distribution within ACD. This service is something that ACD has been carrying out since the start of Covid-19 Lockdown and is something that we will continue to do until the need ceases.

With John SNR now in place to operate this service, we are seeing the communities and projects we support , reap the benefits of a specific point of contact.

We are a community organisation and seek to partner with progressive businesses who wish to develop skills in their workforce and the wider community. Our training is delivered by highly skilled tradesmen and sector specific experts and teachers. We are always looking to offer volunteering opportunities to retired tradesmen and those who are looking to give back.
